PointWire

We are pleased to announce our signing of the Armed Forces Covenant.

PointWire has officially signed the Armed Forces Covenant. With a strong percentage of our workforce being tied to the military in some way, this is something we feel is very important for our organisation to recognise in these times. By signing this agreement, we are supporting a promise made by the government, to those who serve, who have served and their families to ensure that all these personnel are treated as equally and as fairly as civilians.

How are we keeping our promise?
1. We have implemented an unlimited day holiday scheme to allow our reservists to take as much time off as required to complete certain tasks and training with no limitations or sacrifices in salary.

2. We have begun a scheme where we will guarantee an interview to personnel applying for our roles who are currently serving and looking to transition into civilian life or for those who have previously served.

By signing the covenant, we at PointWire are keeping this promise to everyone we work with. We can ensure our employees, our clients, and our partners that they will all be treated fairly whether they have ties to the military, or not.

“The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve, or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.” – Armed Forces Covenant: guidance and support – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

“Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services. Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.” – The Armed Forces Covenant (publishing.service.gov.uk)
